
Lincolnshire Care Awards Nominating Information
HOW TO ENTER
1. Enter via our online entry form.
2. Choose the category or categories for which you want to nominate. If you are entering more than one category, please make a separate entry for each category.
3. Read the category judging criteria carefully.
4. Write an account of no more than 100 words saying why the nominee should be considered for that category. An additional account from a colleague is helpful but not essential. You may use testimonials from service users, pictorial evidence, projects, or any other evidence in support of your nomination.
5. Please make sure that the name of the nominee/entrant and the award category is included on all separate pieces of supporting information.
RULES FOR ENTRY
1. The awards are open to anyone working in services directly or indirectly related to social care. The awards are intended to recognise individuals, small groups, personal assistants or volunteers working in care settings, nominations of whole care homes will not be accepted. If you would like to put forward a whole home for an award you can do this through the Skills for Care Accolades Awards, the Accolades are free to enter and attend
2. All entries are treated confidentially
3. Entries may be submitted no later than 5.00pm on 1st September 2026
4. It is a condition of entry that finalists attend the judging panel in dates to be arranged, November 2026. In person is highly encouraged. Entries will be judged by a panel of reputable independent and impartial adjudicators
5. Finalists will be notified by 5.00pm on 23rd October 2026
6. Entries will not be returned
7. One copy of the submission is required
8. The judging panel reserves the right to move entries from one category to another if they feel it more appropriate. Please make sure all information is accurate at the time of entry
9. Winners and Runners-Up of previous care awards are not eligible in the same category in 2026
10. Finalists attending the judging panels and Gala Award Evening will have the opportunity to have their photograph taken by our official photographer. Photographs may be used in publicity and media reporting
11. Finalists and winners will be expected to help the organisers publicise the Awards before and after the event. Publicity required may include taking part in interviews and photography/filming for printed, broadcast and digital media
12. Finalists, or their organisations, will be given priority to purchase tickets for the Gala Awards Evening on 22nd April 2026
13. Nominations are invited from service users and/or their families
14. The contact details contained in entries will not be shared outside Lincolnshire Care Association and its agents, unless permission is granted
15. Details of winners in certain categories will be submitted to the Great British Care Awards 2026 Regional Nominations
