
Lincolnshire Care Awards Categories
1. Community Care
This award recognises the significant role of the Home Care Worker or Personal Assistant in consistently providing a high-quality standard for people living in their own homes. We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering person centred quality care. Do you have an individual who has shown enthusiasm, innovation and determination and made a positive impact on the people they support?
2. Residential Care
This award recognises the significant role of the Care Home Worker in consistently providing a high-quality standard for people living in residential care. We are looking for a carer who works within a residential or nursing home who is not a nurse or home manager. Do you have an individual who consistently goes above and beyond and is committed to delivering person centred quality care which has had a positive impact on your residents?
3. Registered Health Professional in Adult Social Care
Do you have an individual who uses expertise, clinical and technical knowledge to deliver effective care and treatment and has shown that they are committed to person centred care and quality support of the individuals that they care for? We are looking for a Nurse, Nurse Associate, Trainee Nurse Associate, Apprentice Nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist or any allied health professional within a residential or community-based service.
4. Care Home Cook/Chef
This award recognises the ‘whole home approach’ to food and nutrition issues within the care home, providing recognition to the catering and care staff and nutrition-related activities in the home e.g., staff training/awareness sessions, linking to residents’ activities, water provision, the use of local produce. The winner will be the person or unit that can demonstrate these qualities.
Evidence will be provided in the form of menus, training plans, copies of delivery notes/ receipts, photographs and supporting statements indicating the initiatives that have taken place to improve and enhance the mealtime experience
5. Care Home Registered Manager
This award recognises a Registered Care Home Manager who has demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a care home. A Manager who shows vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of their residents.
6. Home Care Registered Manager
This award recognises a Registered Home Care Manager who has demonstrated a high level of expertise together with exceptional skills in managing the complex business of running a home care business. A Manager who shows vision in developing person-centred care and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of their service users.
7. Frontline Leader
We are looking for an individual in a residential or community care setting who can demonstrate leadership that leads to improved quality of life for the users of their service. This award will be given to a person who is a supervisor, senior care worker, team leader or a first-time manager. They should show a clear commitment to improving the delivery of care and support within their team. They will show leadership qualities, reflect on what could be better and motivate and support their team to bring about change.
8. Activities Co-ordinator
This award will be given to The Care Home Activity Organiser who has demonstrated they can provide a ‘needs led’, varied and appropriate programme for care home residents. Organisers who show exceptional skills, creativity and responsibilities in arranging activities either alone or in conjunction with a senior.
9. Rising Star (Care Newcomer)
Do you have a newcomer in your organisation who is a Rising Star? We are looking for an individual who has worked in the care sector, in any setting for no more than 2 years and worked in their current role for no more than 1 year who, despite their short time in the sector shows real passion and has made a positive impact on the people they support.
10. Workforce Development
This award will acknowledge the important role of the Trainer within the care service and looks for a person who has shown incredible enthusiasm and determination in identifying training and development needs of care staff, establishing rolling training programmes, searching for and gaining funding and proving their ability to enthuse and energise staff to attend and request training.
11. Behind the Scenes
This award recognises excellent, person-centred services, demonstrating dignity and respect through ancillary services. We are looking for an individual in a supporting role (e.g.: gardeners, , domestics, laundry assistants, handyperson, bus driver, administrator/receptionist) who makes a real contribution to improving the quality of the lives of the people their organisation supports.
12. The Lincolnshire Together Award
The Lincolnshire Together Award recognises outstanding partnerships that improve lives through listening, collaboration, and shared decision-making. Aligned with Our Shared Agreement, it celebrates organisations that work alongside people with lived experience, families, carers, volunteers, and community partners as equal contributors to designing, developing, and improving support. Nominations must be submitted jointly, demonstrating genuine partnership rather than organisational achievement alone. Judges assess evidence of shared leadership, listening and learning, positive impact, community connection, and sustainable change. The award showcases how trust, inclusion and collaboration create better outcomes across Lincolnshire.
13. Adult Social Care (open to employees of Lincolnshire County Council)
This award is open to individuals working in Lincolnshire County Council adult social care including social workers and non-registered professionals. This award recognises exceptional people who are dedicated to providing quality services to the sector and those people they support. The judges will be looking for a proven track record in quality, innovation and partnership working which have had positive outcomes for the service user.
