26/06/2020   Deliver a wellbeing package to a veteran near you

Age UK Lincoln and South Lincolnshire are searching for volunteers to help deliver wellbeing packs to veterans in their local community.

These support packs are free of charge to anyone over 50 who has served in the forces and whose lives have been affected by the COVID-19 crisis.

These packs contain items such as:

  • Tea/coffee
  • Soap
  • Toilet roll
  • Forget me not seeds
  • A notebook, book or puzzle book
  • Tinned goods
  • Foodstuffs such as custard, jam, cornflakes and biscuits
  • A health and wellbeing guide and other supportive literature.

There are 1,800 packs to be delivered between now and November. The charity is looking for volunteers who can offer veterans a friendly chat along with their wellbeing pack, to help prevent isolation and loneliness.

For more information or to volunteer, visit ageuk.org and download an application pack.

Don’t have time to deliver but would still like to get involved? Donate items to the cause and help Age UK to make their packs as valuable as can be for their veterans – find out more.
