Solutions for Care and Veterans for Veterans in Care would like to thank everyone who visited thirr stand to say hello at the LinCA Annual Conference and for entering our prize draw for the Bronze Empowerment Workshop and a Luxury Hamper. 

So let’s announce the winners……. 

We are delighted to announce that the winner of the Bronze Empowerment Workshop (worth £350) is Mountain Ash Care. 

The workshop, delivered by a veteran to up to 15 members of staff, lasts between 90 and 120 minutes and includes: 

• Learning how to identify a veteran (things that you may notice about a resident that may indicate they have served in the Armed Forces)
• What makes a veteran different
• Discover the experiences a veteran has had during:
• Enlistment - Recruit
• Time served – Serving member of the Armed Forces
• Discharge – Life as a veteran
• Gain an understanding of rank structures
• Camp life (how we lived)
• Conflicts (where we fought)
• Ceremonies
