21/08/2025 Delphi Care Solutions - What does the CQC PIR cover?

The Provider Information Return (PIR) combines data and narrative across several key areas:
- Service overview: Who you support, how many people you support, and the type of care you provide
- People’s experience: Complaints, compliments, and safeguarding concerns
- Staffing: Training, turnover, supervision, and workforce capacity
- Leadership and governance: Quality assurance processes, audits, and regulatory breaches
- Improvements: Changes made since your last inspection
- Infection prevention and control: Use of PPE, hygiene practices, and vaccination programmes
Each section links back to the CQC’s five key questions. When completing your PIR, think holistically and use it as an opportunity to demonstrate how your service delivers safe, effective and person centred care.
