There was a surprise announcement at our annual conference in Sleaford yesterday (15th July) when our Chair Melanie Weatherley MBE received the Chief Nurse Adult Social Care Gold Award.

LinCA director Mark Turton presented Melanie with a special gold award certificate on behalf of Professor Deborah Sturdy, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care in England.

Prestigious gold awards are given in recognition of outstanding achievement and performance in the individual’s sphere of practice. This may be clinical practice, education, research or leadership.
