The Greater Lincolnshire Care Academy
Supporting, Developing and Strengthening the Adult Social Care Workforce
We are excited to announce that the Greater Lincolnshire Care Academy has been launched in October 2026, bringing a fresh new approach to workforce development, recruitment, retention, and digital support for adult social care providers across Lincolnshire.
You may first notice our new logo and branding, which will replace the CareinLincs identity. While the look may be changing, our commitment to supporting care providers remains stronger than ever.
Why is the Care Academy different?
The Greater Lincolnshire Care Academy has been created to provide care providers with a single place to access workforce development, digital support, training, qualifications, recruitment initiatives, and retention solutions.
Our vision is simple:
- Support employers to develop skilled, confident and capable teams
- Help attract new people into rewarding careers in adult social care
- Improve retention by investing in workforce development
- Provide affordable, high-quality learning opportunities
- Become the trusted hub for workforce and digital support across Lincolnshire
What will stay the same?
Care providers will continue to have access to the popular Workforce Directory for Lincolnshire, helping you find:
- Training workshops and development opportunities
- Information on available funding streams
- Support from health and care partners
- Resources to strengthen today's workforce and develop tomorrow's workforce
What's coming soon?
Over the coming months, the Care Academy will introduce:
- Level 2 and Level 3 certificate and award qualifications
- Qualifications linked to funding opportunities
- Future Oliver McGowan Tier 2 Part 2 training opportunities
- New workforce development programmes
- Enhanced digital support for care providers
We are hopeful that many of these exciting new services will be available before the end of 2026.
Affordable, accessible and provider-focused
Working closely with our strategic partners at Lincolnshire County Council, we remain committed to delivering high-quality workforce development at affordable prices. Many of our learning opportunities will continue to be subsidised, helping providers access excellent training at some of the most competitive rates available across the region.
Looking ahead to 2027
As we continue to grow, our ambition is to operate using a not-for-profit model, ensuring that costs remain fair, transparent and focused on delivering value back to the adult social care sector.
Our long-term goal is for the Greater Lincolnshire Care Academy to become the trusted destination for workforce development and digital support, providing quality services, quality partnerships, and quality outcomes for care providers and their teams.
